After weeks of frustration from Destiny 2 players, the Corrupted strike has finally become available again as part of the Nightfall rotation. However, this wasn’t originally the case this week, as Bungie had to alter the rotation early this morning.

When this week’s reset hit — bringing the mysterious Niobe Labs event with it — the Nightfalls were a random collection of strikes. The absence of The Corrupted for another week caused an uproar on Reddit, with most of the new posts focused on the issue.

A little over an hour later, Bungie released a tweet joking that its original Nightfall listing was “corrupted.” This suggests that Bungie changed the rotation manually due to fan feedback.

The Nightfall selection is now The Corrupted, Will of the Thousands, and Pyramidion.

For those not in the know, The Corrupted is key to earning the game’s Cursebreaker title. The pulse rifle called Horror’s Least is a Nightfall-exclusive reward. But in order to unlock the Cursebreaker title, players need to collect all Dreaming City weapons — including Horror’s Least.

With The Corrupted available, players who’ve been locked out of the title for weeks will once again be able to earn it.

We’ve reached out to Bungie to confirm that the studio manually changed the Nightfalls for fans missing the Cursebreaker title, and we’ll update this article with any information we receive.
