The best hospital sim on console, just wish it was more realistic than silly. 4✨

I got this hoping it'd be almost as good as Theme Hospital - but it's actually better in every way. You can tell that the developers have taken care to keep the charm of its predecessor intact while fixing most of the problems (bins work! And can be placed in corridors!!). There's an occasional glitch where a staff member might wander aimlessly when there's jobs that need to be done, but it seems to be rare, and can be solved by plonking them in the room yourself. Overall, a great, fun, in-depth game.

As someone who spent a good portion of my childhood playing Theme hospital, i can say this game has the same feel and thats a good thing progression feels a little slow but then you are using a controller, my first hospital looks nice and my staff haven't killed anyone yet which is nice, yet to find out what happens when they do (theme hospital had the grim reaper spawn a hell pit for dead patients) over all if you like sims and the like definitely give this a try.

The only real drawback to the console version I can see is that as you progress to the higher levels and the hospital becomes overun with patients and ailments it may become tricky to keep on top of things without a mouse + keyboard. Trying to pick up staff in a crowd/fleeing a ghost or menu navigation to quickly perform a task...stuff like that. TPH is also a slow burner so during the earlier levels you will find yourself doing the same things and with it taking quite a while to trigger the next level up some may find the wait a bit too slow paced. So yeah, don't be fooled by those cutesy Wallace & Gromit visuals because TPH is a deep management sim that requires time and effort to fully reap the benefits of this game. When you see a "treatment failed" and you feel bad about it..that's when the game has got you. Recommended? Although not a 5 star game (time will show that fact) it's still a top quality game that everyone will get something out of, so yes, highly recommended.
