I was hoping for a bit of a light mooded getaway game...nah. Sure, its got an innocent vibe, & is a bit rough around the story & acting edges, but its just so....crude. Graphics these days could allow a nature map thats beautiful. Nope, crude. Audio could create a beautiful soundscape. Nope, crude. Thumping footsteps on grass.... Interface could be subtle & allow immersion without invading on the view. Nope, bright & a permanent 'dot' in the centre of the screen. All would be forgiven if it was students who made it. Better off getting Wildlands & avoiding pve for a far better escape to nature. Sorry devs...

What.? On earth

Looked a decent game, just too difficult to stay alive, resuorces are difficult to find aiming on the weapon is horrendous and everytime you get a little further in the game you die so if you haven't saved seconds before you die you have to go back to a recent save 3 hours previous. If resources were in abundance i would have rated 5*

Problematic game mechanics, but Enjoyable

The game has a great premise, involved story line and varied areas and wildlife., yes there are flaws, but the devs could eaily fix the glitchy animal attacks, over priced items or useless weapons and upgrades. (Only used the Over\Under Shotgun)., but my main problem is the fact that once the story is done there is No Freeroam (even with uncomplete quests id have to go back far enough to negate approx 4 mission/save files and an hour of story). So close yet falls short of greatness ..... Shame

Started off ok, then the game went haywire, where i couldn't rest and build my stamina back up, so every time i tried to rest it wouldn't build up my stamina and i would die! Waste of time have had this game about two years and still no fix!! 😒😒😒

Open country is no AAA title infact it's not even close, but at a 60% discount it's worth looking into. Just don't expect it to be as good as gta5, because it isn't.

Great relaxing game, a lot do see and do with survival, building and upgrading your camp, hunting, fishing etc, only seen one glitch but was just my character lifting in the air, i just loaded the autosave and was fine. Well worth the price and a lot of good times can be had.

Honestly a cash grab same devs who released memories of mars like this 2 updates and runaway and leave the game too die literally probably the worst survival game ever made boring cringey ai interactions boring base building no fun honestly avoid at all costs

Great premise, poor execution. Come on 505 Games ,with some bug fixes and control changes this could be an enjoyable game. Could do with more crafting options and maybe even some DLC once the core game is fixed. Crashing when trying to uprade my outpost has now forced me to abandon this mess of a game!

Tedious and boring the a.i is seriously bad possibly the worse ive seen, and the dog wow absolutely useless all you do is run from end of the map to the other and back rinse and repeat and crafting is miles behind other games including the console version of 7d2d and thats saying something

Underrated fantastic addictive game

At times a little janky, what I love about this game is that time flies and I easily become addicted and play it all night. I couldn't play other hunting games because it took 2 hours to find one animal. In open country it's simple yet rewarding. You have to plan your trips and bring the correct supplies. Story is easy to follow and friendly. I'm not too far into the game yet, I've only played about 10 hours, but excited to play more. Graphics are fine, not mindblowing but not bad. It's a small publisher so if you don't go into it expecting a AAA game you won't be disappointed.

Its a good game but every f***ing time i go to the rv it freezes and kicks me out of the game i spent a hour just to get kicked sort the game out u absolute troglodyte 👍🐈

Not bad at first the all bugs start showing up

Not a bad game especially for £12 something the problems start when all the bugs start popping up one after another with game braking bugs like not being able to eat so that will kill you.Not being able to rest at any camp you build or find or even at the camper van it works at first in till have to go back to the lodge to bring back 3 rabbits you had to kill(only the second mission in) which means you just keep dropping dead because no matter how hard you try there's no way of getting your stamina back with out resting.Things not working properly or not at all e.g boat buggy .On top of all of that Controls are not grate at all.But i will say if the devs actually fix all the bugs and crashes add more weapons and more things to find and use to build stuff with and let us actually build things like your own lodge buildings instead of just camp fires and that and plz plz for the love of God make everything way less.Everything weighs way to much just holding a tiny amount =slow walking😡
