Decent enough but broken

The game is decent enough on your own. It's a chill time. The problem is coop. The main attraction for me is playing with friends. You can't do this because it crashes back to home or kicks you to the menu constantly. It's impossible to get anything done. EDIT JUNE 2024. There is a decent improvement since last playing. It has been possible to have 4-6 hour sessions however there is still more work to be done. Crashes and kicks can still be a frequent issue alone and being caused by basic/minor things during gameplay. These problems would have to be a rare occurence to justify buying more content.

Connection issues seemingly fixed (Cautious optimism)

I had nothing but love for this game from release but around season 5-6 connection issues and game crashes started to plague multiplayer. Then from the season 11 patch there was a split in the games reliability, some maps just wouldn't work but some would and on those that did, I was able to get hours in on MP for the first time in about 2 years. After the season 12 patch I have been playing MP on the maps broken in season 11 without issue. Hopefully they can now get to work on the smaller annoying MP issues... Refuelling 👀 But I think the big Xbox issues might be fixed, or at least they have taken a big step in the right direction.

I was genuinely upset when the game hadn't been working for a over a year but the recent update seems to have sorted the issues and it doesn't crash for me on the Series X. Also the mods seem okay. All good and once again, one of my favourite titles. Thanks Devs for finally sorting it and bridging the gap between the console and PC versions.

Love the game.

Realy good. But dont understand why the mod memory got reduced (could get 6-7 high detail mods can only get around 2-3 now) but thats the only bad thing. everything else is brilliant the map are great fun some hard terrain. good mission on all regions real nice truck selection.

I almost bought some dlc.....

......and then the crashing started. Was surprised how drawn into it i was, for the first few stable hours, excellent. Then it started crashing every 10 mins like everyone is saying and you lose anything you've done as there's no manual save. So it's pointless. The crashes even restarted the xbox a couple of times, the second time i was worried it had actually broken the console as the desktop came back up all graphically glitched then the xbox shutdown again. Pulled the plug and left it overnight to rest. My guess is it's overheating the GPU, only way it could affect the desktop like that after the xbox rebooting that i can think of. And i've seen very similar display glitch visual patterns before when i've pushed overclocking PC graphics cards too far and they've got too hot. Play tons of other games on the xbox and this never happens so I know it's not my console. Damn shame, i was going to spend money on this even though i got it on gamepass. Still would if they'd fix it.

Amazing game with online Issues

Really run and addictive game with top physics, big beautiful open worlds, awesome Trucks and SUVs, BUT the biggest problem is the online co-op, it just doesn't work at certain times for long periods of time when it does work it works well apart from some desync. Though the fact this game is using Peer 2 peer in 2022 is a joke, no game should be using that type of connection.

Constant online crashing

This game is amazing but the constant crashing whilst playing co-op is making it a slog to play. Always losing progress and parts of the ground going missing makes a 10/10 game a 1/10. I hope that it will one day get fixed but due to this being an issue for over a year most likely not 😢

The Game crashed a lot in co-op

Games is good but very buggy cant play on xbox s as crashes loads and when hosting co/op works for 5 mins then kicks everyone and they have still not yet fixed the co/op connection issues this game needs a re work or they just need to stop xbox multiplayer as it dont work like it should and its deffo no my internet connection Fix the game please

Fix CO-OP

Great game been playing before DLC was added, never had an issue untill a few months ago, have pretty much every DLC there is but can not connect to any friends or onine lobby's in general. Really let this game down I have tried every method to resolve this but nothing has worked.

The game is broken when it comes to online co-op. You may get lucky and get 2 hours of playtime before you and the boys are kicked, or just 10 minutes. Its frustrating to play in its current state, and has been for over six months. The developers need to get this fixed.

Disgraceful

You'd think after 3 years the devs would have the game stable in co-op. The advertised (multiplayer) features simply do not work as other reviews state from 6 months ago! Yikes! Maybe focus on stability instead of PAID content. Crazy thing is if it worked as advertised (working co-op) I and many others would be all in in terms of content available.

Awesome game but shaky mplayer

Game is great. Massive amount of content plus lots of mods available. Dlc amazing value, new maps add variety and new ways to play plus typically less than £10 for 30+ hours content. Only downsides are mplayer: Game needs shared progress. If you have reached a point where a contract is unlocked for you, helping a friend complete this should complete it for you. Mplayer connection has also become worse more recently and needs fixing

Played this game when there was only the year 1 pass and never crashed ; revisiting now it's crashed 2 times in an hour . Glad they added 2 more year passes though👍

Great game, doesn't work anymore

I have enjoyed Snowrunner for many, many hours, both solo and co-op. The original version ran almost flawlessly, albeit at 30fps. We were hoping that the next-gen update would continue to provide entertainment, but it has not. Unfortunately, I can no longer give this game anything more than 3 stars. The game itself is great, many trucks, lots of content, its a game that requires thought and commitment. The biggest downside, for that which is still broken, is co-op play. It absolutely refuses to work. We have tried with and without mods, to no avail. Thank you Snowrunner for the countless hours of fun, but it is time to say goodbye.

When in multiplayer the game keeps kicking you to the home screen alot wish they would sort this out because i really like this game.

Gameplay is great.. COOP unplayable

This game would be great fun IF the coop servers worked... but they 98% of the time do not. Considering how long this has been the case (YEARS!!!) without getting fixed makes this a 1 star game... Selling dlc with micro transactions when you literally cant play the game should be ILLEGAL, but unfortunately instead is just common practice in the current market. Disgraceful.
