This game has alot of cool classes to have on your team but some feel useless to me but once you do get your team together all that is left is to progress and loot and return to get energy so you can explore more. Alot of the fun I have with this is just having a big melee guy punch everything. While I like that most enemies aren't pushovers the some are plain annoying BUT others are fun and challenging. If you like darkest dungeon 1 or 2 you will enjoy this. Kinda too easy but still fun

I have to say I'm slightly prefering this to Darkest Dungeon, its more forgiving and less randomly punishing. Your free to advance how u like and choose the level of risk/reward. The artwork, music and atmosphere are top notch and the amount of weopons, mods and upgrades are endless. The grid strategy/movent map is a big improvent over the silly sideways walking in DD and there are lots of interesting situations and characters to meet while you are exploring.

It's an rpg card battler where you explore derelict spaceships searching for clues to locate the alien mothership. The prize if you do, is citizenship for your lowly mercenary trio. Help or ignore the characters, if you've no medical knowledge in your team, don't offer to mend a broken arm... Need to press back twice to get to inventory, skills, missions. Weapons, tools, mods and classes all add into the characters deck of cards they will fight with. You need to be careful not to bloat a characters deck with a mod that adds in 5 extra cards! Energy is the resource that your group will use for exploration and battle. In exploration this is the ambush,normal and rush states, where ambush uses the most but can allow you to attack scanned enemies first. Rush using the least and getting you ambushed! Do not get caught in rush you cannot attack for two rounds! The longer a battle goes the more energy used as you go through each characters deck or boost to add extra cards to their hand.

As other reviewers have said, this is Darkest Dungeon in space... except a lot more compelling, intuitive, and enjoyable. If you liked the idea of DD, but couldn't really get into it, I highly recommend this game. Gameplay loop is very satisfying, there are lots of different weapons/equipment/mods to experiment with, and the visual design is excellent. There is a lack of an endgame, but that's the point - to start a new campaign with a different crew and new derelicts.
